About Us
The lady theater
The Lady Theater, a traveling circus theater, was founded by Ornat Lempert and Yonatan Solaj. Their first play “The First Lady of Taiti” debuted in 2010. The couple and their children now live in the Galilee region in northern Israel. They perform in Israel and around the world.
The Lady Theater combines various performing arts – theater, circus, puppets, object theater and slapstick.
Quality theater for the whole family that appears in select venues and festivals across Israel such as: The Israel Theater Festival, the Haifa International Theater Festival and the Tel Aviv Museum.
And around the world – Lebeda Festival in Latvia, Aurillac Festival in France.
Our plays won prizes by the Rabinovitch Foundation and the Lottery Council for Culture and Art. Our plays are supported by the Rabinovitch Foundation and the Israeli Ministry of Culture.
Performs, writes, and directs for the stage and has appeared in shows in Israel and abroad. She won the prestegious 2001-2002 Keren Sharet award for performance. She holds a “BFA” from the University of Haifa in acting and music and is a graduate of the Instrumental Theater at Seminar Kibbutzim. In addition, she has trained in stage workshops and in “Arma” in the field physical theater. She created the character of “Madoimoselle Ornament” for the Janco Dada museum.
Ornat Lempert
Circus artist, graduate of “physical Theater” (According to Lecoq method), studied in private Circus schools. He practiced dance with Nir and Liat Ben Gal in Mitzpe Ramon. He is best known for thrilling audiences with his wide range of circus techniques and tricks: juggling, unicycle, tissu (aerial silk), clowning and physical comedy, impossible acrobatic feats of physicality, acrobatics, and contortion.
In between dazzling audiences with his circus skills, he is a hydrotherapist treating people suffering from a variety of disabilities.
